We make it harder than it has to be.

I know, I know.  I haven't been blogging. Things have been crazy and wonderful.  I just returned from possibly one of the most amazing weekends of my life given it was filled to the brim with family and live music.  It's almost as though someone looked through my Itunes, picked my favorite bands (both new and old) and rolled them into one fantastic schedule, then sprinkled them over an enormous park filled with 80,000 other music lovers in one creative, vibrant and authentic city where everyone had their heart in the right place.

I love Austin, Texas, I love blues rock, I love my family, and I love this timeless band:  The Eagles. When The Eagles played on the third night, I was with my folks- dancing, singing, and fully noticing the simple moment of "unparalleled perfection", when everything in the universe seemed to be in alignment, and all I could really do.... was smile.  It all seemed so easy and.... so right.

"Look at us baby
Up all night
Tearing our love apart
Aren't we the same two people who live
through years in the dark?
Every time I try to walk away
Something makes me turn around and stay
And I can't tell you why

When we get crazy,
it just ain't to right,
(try to keep you head, little girl)
Girl, I get lonely, too
You don't have to worry
Just hold on tight
(don't get caught in your little world)
'Cause I love you
Nothing's wrong as far as I can see
We make it harder than it has to be
and I can't tell you why "
