"Most people never get to hear the music.
Music helps us to understand where we have come from,
but most importantly what has happened to us.
Music is only a mystery to people who want it explained.
Music and love are the same."
-Simon Van Booy
So being the lyric girl that I am, and a bit too sleepy to really write tonight, I'm just going to post a new favorite song which then extends into a few verses of one of my all time favorite songs ever in the history of Victoria's favorite songs. I'm not typically drawn to country music but "Free" is an absolute gem. Turn it up, and melt into his voice, the notes, and the beautifully simple lyrics. I think I'd quite like to live in this six minute & forty-five second world. The Zac Brown Band's "Free" extending into Van Morrison's "Into the Mystic" at 3:45. We can all now share one large, collective sigh....
"So we live out in our old van
Travel all across this land
Me and you
We'll end up hand in hand
Somewhere down on the sand
Just me and you
Just as free
Free as we'll ever be
Just as free
Free as we'll ever be
Drive until the city lights
Dissolve into a country sky
Just me and you
Lay underneath the Harvest moon
Do all the things that lovers do
Just me and you
Just as free
Free as we'll ever be
Just as free
Free as we'll ever be
Ever be
No we don't have a lot of money
No we don't have a lot of money
No we don't have a lot of money
No we don't have a lot of money
No we don't have a lot of money
No we don't have a lot of money
All we need is love
we're free as we'll ever be
Just as free
Free as we'll ever be
Ever be
So we live out in our old van
Travel all across this land
Me and you"
